1.0        INTRODUCTION

The propose company is to be registered, known and addressed as SOLID BLOCK industry, for both 6 inches and 9 inches concrete block production.

1.1      EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The proposed project consists in establishing a concrete block industry in Lagos. The industry will produce both 6 inches and 9 inches blocks.

The initial investment is at N9,633,868, which includes equipments, working capital needs (including beginning inventories), maintenance, salaries, advertisement and running cost.

1.2        DESCRIPTION OF THE LOCATION / FACTORY

SOLID BLOCK industry is located at km 145, Lagos Abeokuta Express Way, Lagos. This location though quickly access through the major express way (Abeokuta Expressway) it is a well positioned term of access to the target market since the expressway links most of the target area of coverage.

1. THE SHARP SAND: Is the either ikorodu river sharp sand or any other high quality sharp sand of its kind

2. THE CEMENT: THE Obajama cement is one local cement depot of reliable quality of block production.

3. THE SOFT SAND:  This will be gotten from the local sand market.

4. WATER: Water for production will be gotten from the well which is located within our site of production.

1.3        PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT / CAPITAL EQUIPMENT

SOLID BLOCK industry will make use of the following equipments for block production:

1. THE LISTER ENGINE: This is a Nissan diesel engine lister. It is used to drive the vibrated machine for moulding the block
2. THE VIBRATED BLOCK MOULDING MACHINE: This is a locally fabricated machine specially designed for this purpose. It makes use of press lever system and the vibrated pressure on the sand mixture inside the machine mould to give high quality concrete block.
3. THE PALLETS: This are small pieces of wood materials used for supporting the moulded block during production process of taking it from the vibrated engine to the drying point.
4. THE BARROW: This is a measuring device for most of the materials used especially for the sand.
5. THE SHOVEL: This is both a measuring tool and also used for mixing the sand/cement mixture very well during production. It is very essential in the production activities.
6. A SMALL OFFICE: This is where we intend to be attending to our customers who come to our side for order. Also it will serve as a place for the office activities of writing business document and storage.
7. A SMALL DESKTOP COMPUTER:-       This is which will be used to

facilitate writing of business correspondence to our customer

8.   A WELL: This which will be dug in the site to avoid the stress of looking for

water during production. Also it is cheap and very affordable to dig a well.

9.   2 TABLES AND OFFICE CHAIRS:- These are required in the office.

10. RECEPTION CHAIR:- This is also require in the office for our customers

11. ACCOUNT BOOK/STATIONERIES:-This require for record keeping purpose though most of the documents are on the computer we need the book for back-up.
